Senate leaders had indicated they would not accept anyone whom the beleaguered Mr. Blagojevich had appointed.So don't get too comfortable just yet Mr. Burris, because with the way things are now, it looks like you'll never see a day in the life of a U.S. Senator. The issues to be had are not directed towards Mr. Burris, but Governor Blagoevich. Any choice from a corrupt politician such as he is not something to hold in high regard.
Lt. Governor Pat Quinn will be holding a press conference regarding the appointment at 4pm (eastern).
